Another solution is to use an adblocker and block the flash-file on the main page. I had the same problem till I blocked it in firefox with Adblock Plus.

I have the same problem. Sometimes it crashes completely and sometimes it just freezes for 10 seconds or so. FF 2.0.0.11 and latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
